This school will be hosted by GridKa and the Institute for Scientific Computing (IWR) @ Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe from Monday, September 26 till Friday, September 30, 2005. |

| We would like to welcome you to the GridKa School 2005 page. GridKa
School , now in its third year, is an annual computing school covering
topics related to scientific Grid Computing. It is targetted at
postdocs, advanced undergraduate and graduate students. While it originally
solely served the needs of High-Energy Physics, the topics discussed
are general enough so that students of other scientific disciplines
will benefit as well.
The highlights of this year's school include introductory and advanced courses in gLite, the next-generation middleware of the largest EU Grid project, EGEE ("Enabling Grids for E-SciencE"). Distributed Data Analysis with ROOT and PROOF is taught in its own course, and a course in Grid Application Development helps you to bring your application to the Grid. Further topics include Data Management, reports from other Grid projects and middleware initiatives. For a more detailed overview please have a look at the preliminary agenda. We are looking forward to meet you in September in Karlsruhe, close to the internationally known black forest. | |||||||||||
